“ Moved to North County from East County where I loved El Pollo Grill and have been looking for a place to get some pollo charro in North County. A friend told me about Pollo Maria, and I checked it out and loved it. The chicken is great, and all the sides are very good as well. Definitely becoming a go to spot for me. ”
“ The place is much nicer on the inside than on the outside. Cute atmosphere. Carne asada was good. My buddy got a veggie burrito and it was HEAVY. He got two meals out of his. Since chicken is their specialty, I will try that next time I'm at Lowes. ”

“ This was my first time visiting this Pollos Maria's location, but I've been a regular diner at the now-closed Carlsbad location for decades during my time living and visit San Diego. We were so happy to find that the food was exactly the same in this location, which also looks and feels just like the Carlsbad one. I always get a cheese enchilada and chicken taco, and didn't stray from my regular order this time, but I also tried out the rolled tacos on this visit. Everything was delicious (and we were so excited to eat, no one remembered to snap any photos.) And the service was fast and friendly, as always. I'm so happy that we still have Pollos Maria as a dining option when we come to town for vacation. ”

“ Always tasty and fresh. My favorite and go to order are the chicken flautas. They are crispy and the chicken is flavorful, it's one of the specials and is served with sour cream and salsa. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Before covid they had a salsa bar with several choices, it is closed now but you can still get salsa mild, medium or hot. I had a fountain drink, they have coke products and Jamaica as well as horchata. The Jamaica was a little too syrupy for my taste but still decent. ”
